Daniela Manusardi, a pianist and composer, graduated with distinction in piano and composition at “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, her native city. Her career as a soloist began in 1994 in Italy; later, she performed as a chamber musician in national and international festivals and concert seasons across Italy, Europe and Asia, e.g. at Ateneo Veneto in Venice, the concert seasons of the Triennale, the Sala Puccini and the Palazzina Liberty in Milan, at the Concert hall of Villa  Tesoriera in Turin, the Casa della Musica in Parma, at S. Giacomo Festival in Bologna, Valtidone Festival, Ascoli Piceno Festival, Grumo Festival, and Cervo International Festival (in 2005 and 2007).

In 2002 Daniela moved to Germany to refine her artistic formation and to gather further professional experience. She pursued a master degree in Chamber Music (Artist-Diploma) and a Performer’s Diploma (“Konzertexamen”) and received further guidance from three renowned pianists: Rudolf Kehrer, Livia Rev and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling.

Daniela was saluted as a promising soloist from the very start of her career: she won a number of auditions and was awarded the first prize at several international piano competitions. She was the only Italian artist to be awarded a scholarship by the Otmar Alt artistic foundation in Hamm (Westphalia, Germany) in 2004; in this occasion, the German newspaper “Westfälischer Anzeiger” described her as “a sound virtuoso”. 

A multifaceted artist, Daniela has given several recitals and concerts in Germany, e.g. at the renowned Konzerthaus Trossingen, during the concert seasons of the Theater am Ring and the Franziskaner Konzerthaus in Villingen-Schwenningen, at the Bechsteinzentrum in Düsseldorf, at the premiere of the Stravinsky Concert Hall in Donaueschingen, at the Staatstheater in Baden-Baden, at music festivals in Messkirch, Ravensburg,  Hammelburg and Wien. She also performed in Strasbourg (France), in Switzerland for RTSI (Italian Swiss Radio Channel), in Copenhagen during the Festival of Italian Culture, and gave concerts with the Shumen philharmonic orchestra (Bulgaria), with the Târgu-Mureș philharmonic (Romania) and during the International Yamaha Festival in Bangkok (Thailand), National Opera Center of New York (Usa).

Since 2003 Daniela has been a member of the international Baynov-Piano-Ensemble, founded by the Bulgaria-born piano virtuoso Tomislav Baynov. The Baynov-Piano-Ensemble is a unique ensemble specialized in retrieving and performing classical and contemporary piano music for six up to thirty-two hands.

Daniela’s compositions were performed during the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Steinway & Sons, at the Bechstein Festival as well as in Bergamo, Venice, Milan, in Germany, Denmark and in Russia.

Daniela recorded live for Lira Classic, Limenmusic and Villa Nostradamus labels and for radio and television broadcasts. She has also gathered extensive experience as a piano teacher: she gave piano lessons at music schools (in Singen and Ravensburg), at music academies (in Marktoberdorf and Hammelburg, Germany) and at “A. Peri” Music Institut in Reggio Emilia, Italy, she is on the faculty at Conservatorio "E.Duni"-Matera. On top of that, she has led master classes in Europe and Thailand and often takes part in international music awards as a member of the judging panel. Since 2013 she has been the director of the cultural association “Corti Armoniche”.
